Frequently asked questions:
" May I have a party at the pool? Yes, Please see guidelines in the "pool " section
" May I paint my home? Yes, the color you select must be consistent with the other homes in our neighborhood, " earth tones"
" May I put an addition on my home? Yes but it must be approved by the " Architectural committee" prior to the commencement of work. The exterior must be consistent t in design and color of the existing structure.
" May I park my boat, RV, etc. in my drive or on the street? Yes , for "short term" parking only. Short -term " is defined as 7 days or less.
" Cars are speeding down the street, what can I do? Record the license number an report them to the Olathe Police.
" May I put a storage building in my yard for lawn equipment, storage etc.? No , please refer to the covenants, code and restrictions for the verbatim guidelines.
"I am replacing the roof on my home, what are the guidelines?"
All replacement materials must be approved, by the Board PRIOR to instalation. A general rule is this:
You may replace with wood shake, Composite (asphalt ) or steel.
If Asphalt, the product MUST carry a 40 year warrenty.
What ever product you select the product must be consistent in color and texture and style with a "wood shake". As a side note, please make sure you are dealing with a reputable company and check liceneces, insurance, references etc. At this timere of year there are a lot of "storm chasers" who may not be as they represent themselves.
